The Rev Dr Adrian Varwell gave a most interesting talk this afternoon to a large and appreciative audience.  His subject was entitled "Local History and why it is important."  Through anecdotes in his own life he reminded us that we are all part of our local history and highlighted some of the quirks of fate he has experienced.
