Cill Chuimein Heritage Group

Cill Chuimein Heritage Group was constituted in December 1999 with the aim of stimulating interest in, and encouraging research in any aspect of the history of Fort Augustus and the surrounding area.

Monthly meetings are held between September and April and vary between invited speakers covering a wide variety of topics of local interest and meeting designed to stimulate the memories of our older members.

While we are not specifically a family history group, we do have members with a lot of knowledge about the village and families that used to live here. Please get in touch if you are in any way connected with the village and are looking for further information. Of course we cannot promise anything, but will do the best we can to help. And if you have any information about the village you wish to share, again, please get in touch.
