Well our first meeting of the new season started well with a very interesting talk from Ian Abernethy from Fort William who took us on a tour of the town's High Street and shared many anecdotes from his years as a journalist there.

The speaker for our October meeting, on Monday the 5th October, is Brian Denoon, whose father was a teacher in Fort Augustus.  Brian will be talking about his new book, '"Do you say Sir to your father?" Tales and Memories of the Great Glen' which should be very interesting.  And no doubt he will have some copies for sale too.
