The last time I signed at the Charles St Jobcentre I was given my next signing time and it was supposed to be a group session as they had run out of appointments.  I’ve just received in the post a letter from the Jobcentre informing me that my next appointment is at a later time and a meeting with my work coach.  I’m taking for granted that this new appointment replaces the original one.  As I have seen different people on my last few signing days I don’t recall ever meeting the lady who I have to see next week.  I also received an email from the Jobcentre informing me of a Health and Wellbeing event taking place next week at the Jobcentre.  The email was sent to me by a Universal Credit work coach even though I’m still on JSA.  I will probably go along for the two hour event although I have not been told that I have to go.  It’s best to be safe than sorry.  At my latest signing I was given information of a civil service vacancy but after looking at the details it isn’t one that I have a chance of getting.  The starting salary alone is over 24k and I would be lucky to get a job paying 13k.  I’ve applied for quite a few civil service jobs in the past and never even been interviewed.
