COMPLAINTS

Working Links are just like other providers of the Work Programme and the complaints procedure they have is of a self policing nature. This means in effect that they will always defend their staff even if they are in the wrong.

I had a complaint against a member of the Working Links staff in Cardiff recently. I contacted working links through their website and after around eleven days I got a reply by email from a manager in the Cardiff office. He avoided answering any of my complaints and hoped that I was happy with the changes made even though he didn't mention any changes in his email. I immediately emailed back asking for an explanation and he never responded. I phoned up on thursday to ask to speak to the manager and was told he was busy but he would phone me tomorrow. He didn't phone me but sent me an email at 6.15pm offering to arrange a meeting with him and an area manager to discuss my complaints. I will contact him and ask for this meeting as it hopefully might encourage them to be more sympathetic and understanding to the vulnerable people who will be put on the work programme and don't have the courage to speak up for themselves.
