I was at the Charles St Jobcentre on friday to get some copies of my CV and found that none of the computers would print any documents.  Eventually a member of staff was good enough to print some off for me using his computer.  I had to get some CV's for a jobs fair at the Jobcentre.  The library now charges 25p a document to print.  I guess it's worth all the hassle to get them free at the  Jobcentre.

I'm still on JSA and fully expect to be pushed onto every course the Jobcentre have available.  It doesn't appear to matter how many times I have done similar courses.

On another topic, I was advised to see a doctor to discuss my health issues so I tried to contact a doctor at the surgery that I have been registered since childhood.  I was told to phone up between 8.30am and 9.00am to obtain an appointment.  It appears that they won't give any appointments outside those hours unless it is an emergency.  Imagine phoning up monday to friday between those hours and never getting through.  Well that's been my situation for a week.  I held on until after the 9.00am deadline and eventually got through to someone who told me to keep trying.  I was also told that if I went to the surgery and stood outside the door from 8.00am I would eventually be seen when they open at 8.30am.  How long I would have to wait if I did go to the surgery at 8.00 I don't know.  I might try it one day just to find out.  Of course if things get worse then I will be able to phone after 9.00am when I become an emergency case.
