I have now sent my comments back to the decision making team at the Jobcentre and it’s just a case of waiting for a decision on whether I receive a sanction or not.  Of course I don’t deserve a sanction and I hope that the decision making team see through the nonsense from Tenovus and Learn About.  It’s an important decision whatever way it goes, if people don’t have the opportunity to voice their concerns over claims of bullying even if the investigation was a farce then what are they to do.  It would be easy to cover up and protect a bully if the consequences of speaking out would leave the victim in hardship.  They would be too scared to do anything and would have to accept being bullied as a normal part of life.  If as it should, the decision goes in my favour then it would be a sign that vulnerable people do have the right to disclose a case of bullying if the person who investigates it just wants to sweep the accusation under the carpet.  When I receive the decision I will post it on here.

It’s very difficult to criticise a charity such as Tenovus because clearly many people have been helped by it, home visits and information regarding treatments and I’m sure quite a few other forms of help that are greatly valued by recipients.  That doesn’t mean that we have to keep quiet when an injustice occurs.  If the area manager for Tenovus, Sue Hayes, had done a proper investigation and answered all the allegations then it would have been a positive result for Tenovus as it would have shown that they really did care but as soon as I rejected her decision of “lack of communication” she immediately turned to Jason from Learn About and suggested that I be moved on to another placement.  That’s how uncaring she was to the victim and far more sympathy was shown to the bully. 

I’m thinking of going on the Itv news website as they had a bit about anti bullying this week and give my experience of reporting being bullied at Tenovus and how it resulted in me having to justify not receiving a benefit sanction.  I’m thinking about it and if I do I will report back on here.
