I'm a fairly compliant person and intended to complete my six months as quietly and in a friendly way as possible.  Sadly, today was not a very nice day at the Tenovus shop in Whitchurch Road in Cardiff.  The manager in attendance today made me steam clothes continually for seven hours even though I have been suffering recently from high blood pressure.  I nipped into the toilet after six and a half hours and emailed Tenovus using my phone with a complaint against the manager who is known as Loyd.  Around 4.30pm he decided to be a bit friendly to me as if he had realised that he had gone over the top because it was clearly his intention for some unknown reason to be nasty to me.  I didn't buy into this false bit of friendship but I remained calm and polite.  Clearly he had not heard back from Tenovus regarding my complaint but as he is supposed to be in on Monday hopefully someone at Tenovus will contact him.  Two weeks ago when he was also in charge on a saturday he had received a phone call from someone informing him that the Jobcentre had told them that they had to start at Tenovus and Loyd said that they don't accept conscripTs and everyone is a volunteer.   Clearly he was lying as I am surrounded by conscripts of which I am one so Tenovus don't want the world to know that they are making money by taking on workfare participants.  I intend to take this matter up further and will probably put my experience on a few websites later and contact Tenovus again.  I really don't know why I was made a victim today as I have got on with sorting out the donations and have opened loads of bags over the weeks.  I'm a quiet kind of guy but today I honestly wanted to knock his teeth out.  They had rails full of clothes and the ones that I steamed had to be put back on the rail that I took them from, all pushed together and they will all need steaming again on Monday.  All of it was a total waste of time, just to make someone have a good laugh at putting me through it.  I will report on here any response from Tenovus.
