I arrived for my fortnightly signing today and it was quite busy in the Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff. Although I was nearly five minutes early for my appointment I was called about eight minutes or so after my signing time. Again I sat opposite the two desks where I am usually called to but a young guy called my name from a desk much further along. He asked me for some form of identification as it was the first time he had seen me. I handed him my debit card and he looked on the back at my signature and gave it back to me. He said it was only a signing today and looked through my UJM account. He also looked through my Work Plan booklet and signed it. He asked me if I had anything to ask and I said no and he allowed me to sign. I noticed that he put my file on top of several others and it left me thinking that maybe he is going to complete the signings later otherwise I might not get any JSA put into my bank account. The other day I saw online a number of statements regarding how safe our CV's are. Although I don't have an account with the online site Indeed, I did click on the button at the top regarding CV's and typed in imaginary names and locations in South Wales. It was interesting to see so many CV's and although the individuals private details didn't come up, their work history did and phone numbers and names of people who were offering references. Many people said in the past that the UJM site isn't safe and I know it isn't and I still have a CV on it. Of course I have left off my address and other personal details. Anyone who has a CV on Indeed should click on the button at the top and type in their name and see how much information is freely available.
