I stumbled across a website called "The Sanctioned Jobseeker" and it was very interesting reading. I have put a link to the website so if you want to go to the link button on the left you may well find it worthwhile. It was interesting looking through the documents from the DWP and I was surprised how easily the Jobcentre caved in to an appeal regarding one of the sanctions handed out. It just shows how much pressure can be applied if you know your rights and get for example your local member of parliament involved. The idea of making the jobcentre worker accountable and even threatening them with the police and even a possible prison sentence for deliberately lying on official forms does appeal to me. I have mentioned on this website quite a few times the bullying that I have received from certain members of staff at the Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff and it is always beneficial to know your rights. I would suggest to every jobseeker that they read the information on the Sanctionedjobseeker website as it shows how nasty they can be when the jobseeker doesn't fully consent to everything the DWP demands from them. You never know when they might decide to enforce a sanction on you so be prepared for the worst and hopefully it will never happen. If they realise that you know your rights then that might just hold back their enthusiasm to make you a victim of a sanction.
