Still no Job Points on the ground floor. 03 July 2014 I went along to the Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff for my fortnightly signing and the security guards at the entrance appeared to be in a happy mood. I tried to show my attendance card as I told one of them that I was signing today but he just smiled and beckoned me in. Naturally I went along to the area where I usually go and noticed that the sofa had been removed and no one was at the desks where I usually sign. I heard a voice from behind me and saw a young woman behind a desk informing me that if I was signing then I would have to go to the other side of the ground floor. Lucky she told me and I then strolled over to the other side of the room. They still have not put up any job points and I was called by a woman who has signed me a few times over the last couple of months. She did a very efficient job as usual and told me it would be a quick signing today as they didn't have access today to check on the UJM site. I did offer up my paper copy and after signing I was given a new attendance time which is ten minutes earlier than I presently sign. I had to sign to show that I had received the attendance form and off I went. On my way to the Jobcentre I was walking along and a car stopped in a bus lane. The outside lanes were full and facing a red light. As I approached I noticed the Baby on Board sign on the back window and as I walked along the pavement I saw a young woman in the driving seat leaning across to the passenger window and throwing out small pieces of crumpled paper onto the road near the pavement. I didn't say anything as clearly she knew what she was doing was wrong and didn't seem to care but what a silly thing to do. She could easily have kept those five or six smallish pieces of crumpled paper until she got home. I could've become a disgruntled old codger like Victor Meldrew in One Foot In The Grave and told her exactly what I think of her behaviour but I refuse to go down that road and decided to just walk on by and remain a quiet soul just looking for employment. | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
