I went along to Charles St Jobcentre yesterday to sign as usual and I managed to arrive about five minutes early. As I was waiting I heard a guy being told that he didn't have to sign in two weeks time but to sign in four weeks. I heard my name called so I went over to the desk and the woman informed me that I should sign again in four weeks time. It appears that in two weeks time they are dealing with the 18-24yr olds in some form of training. Charles St Jobcentre is quite big and it's odd that they would cancel signing the people over 24yrs of age. I've no idea if it is something to do with the new working for benefit scheme that is supposed to be launched at the end of April. I will keep up my jobsearch and record it in detail as I'm sure it will be checked at some stage over the next few weeks. My signing only took a minute or so and the woman did her job in a good, polite and professional manner.
