Are they breaking the rules? 10 April 2014 Today was my fortnightly signing day so this morning I logged into my UJM account to tick the box and allow Jobcentre staff to look in my account. This usually helps make signing a lot easier although they still sign my paper copy of my jobsearch. Of course when I return home I soon untick the box but something odd happened today. When I went in to tick the box to allow access I noticed that the date on my saved searches was the 10th April. That of course is today but this date only appears to change after the person who signs me at the Jobcentre has looked at my UJM account. If we don't look at our saved searches for five days then we get an alert message but the date doesn't change. That suggested to me that someone earlier today looked on my account while it didn't have a tick in the box so access wasn't officially allowed at that point. I mentioned on here several months ago that my then advisor had told me that she was looking on my account even though access wasn't allowed. The woman who signed me two weeks ago was the advisor at the time and today she also called my name so I went over to her desk. The signing was over inside a minute and she signed my paper copy and didn't appear to be looking at my UJM account unless she had already done so. I don't know if she was the one today and she did an efficient job on my signing but it is odd that she didn't appear to even look at my account. I remember when she was my advisor and I was the victim of bullying, I did give her the email address that I created just for UJM so she had that on the computer and maybe that is the way the Jobcentre can gain access to our UJM accounts. So be careful when you hand out your personal details. Nothing was mentioned of the working for benefits supposedly starting in April so I guess they won't be starting us on any kind of workfare until May. | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
