Although it's christmas day I still went in to my UJM account. I noticed that 309 new jobs were posted today for Cardiff. Of course when you put a search in for Cardiff you also get a number of Jobs for Bristol and the West Country. We all know that employers are not going to spend time posting jobs on christmas day but imagine the total posted covering the whole of the UK. They clearly are not genuine vacancies and all links lead to agencies but they vastly increase the job vacancies and many of the general public actually believe they are real jobs. If only the general public would spend a few minutes typing in the name of a city and looking at the jobs posted today on the government website now hosted by Monster. Clearly Monster should lose the contract unless they are under orders from the government to falsify the number of job vacancies. I guess tomorrow we will see another load of new jobs posted on Boxing day. At least I made an effort and I also left a comment regarding these job vacancies in my activity log on my UJM account. I just mentioned that 309 jobs for Cardiff posted on christmas day was unlikely although I looked through them all. On the news last night I heard that thousands of people had not received their benefits through some kind of error. This should never happen and why it is important that people receive benefits early before bank holidays so if they are not paid a person has time to contact the benefits agency and get benefits paid. Most unemployed people live from one benefit payment to the next without any savings to dip into. I hope they get through christmas somehow. Merry Christmas
