At least I don't have any plans to change.
20 October 2013

In September I was given a jobseekers direction to attend a session on volunteering which I did attend. The letter relating to the session also included the next time that I was due to see my personal advisor. That appointment was to be next Thursday which would also be my fortnightly signing day. On Friday I received in the post a letter from my personal advisor informing me that my next appointment with her is still on Thursday but at a later time. The last time I went to the Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff to sign I was reminded by the lady behind the desk that I had an appointment with my advisor on the day I next sign and she confirmed the original time. In fact the desk where I was signing was only a few yards from where my advisor was working. I can only imagine that she is going to be at a meeting and has contacted all of her clients arranging new times. Clearly she knew a full week ahead of my appointment that she wasn't going to be available although she had given me the original time over a month earlier. It will be interesting to see what happens on Thursday. I will of course tick the box giving access to my UJM account on Wednesday night and then untick it later on Thursday. I have done plenty of jobsearch and applied for quite a few jobs although it's difficult to say how many of the vacancies on UJM are actually real jobs.
