Looks like more of the same. 10 July 2013 I went to Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff today for my Information session and interview. That's what it says on the letter I was handed by my new personal advisor on monday. The letter also stated that after the session I will have a personal interview with one of the advisers. Ten of us were led into a room and the woman in charge spent an hour discussing interviews and such things as questions that might be asked and what questions not to ask. What to wear and how to behave, well you know the kind of thing as most people who have been unemployed for a while have had to endure these kind of sessions time and time again. When she asked us for examples I didn't have the heart to reply so I just sat back and let the young ones nibble on the bones instead. I have always shown enthusiasm in the past although it was only to encourage others to take part but I'm tired of saying obvious answers to basic questions that I have so many times in the past. It was hot today but I managed to avoid disrupting the session and that isn't easy when you feel like saying how pointless this session is to people who have experienced it many times in the past. At the end of the session the woman said we could go. This left me with no option but to speak and suddenly I spoke out and asked about the interview I am supposed to have after the session. It appears the interview is the next time you are due to see your personal advisor but to her credit she did agree that the letter I had been given was badly worded. I am due in to see my new personal advisor tomorrow so I guess she will discuss the session with me and I will find out what else she has in store for me. At least throughout the session today I did listen to everyone and didn't disrupt the session so I did take part. | ![]() ![]() ![]() |
