A little note of caution.
22 June 2013
When I came back from Working Links on thursday I recorded on here that I received an Exit report as it was officially the end of my two years on the Work Programme. I mentioned that it stated that I had not completed a city and guilds level 1 and 2 in employability and also stated that my reason was that I had completed many similar schemes during my New Deal days with BTCV. I just realised after scrolling back through my experiences on this website that during that period of november 2011 I had made a complaint against a member of staff because of some bad treatment that I had received. That particular member of staff interviewed me after I had complained about her and decided that I needed some employability training. This was after another member of staff accepted that I didn't need any. I had a meeting with the manager and no employability courses were put forward again. It just shows how a member of staff who is against you can leave comments on your computer record that may end up causing you some grief. I have always completed courses that I have started and in my opinion the suggestion by that member of staff should have been deleted from my computer record. This website has been very useful as a record of my experience on the Work Programme. At the time of the suggestion concerning employability courses that I have completed a number of times on New Deals, I didn't think that it would be left on my computer record as something I failed to complete as I didn't even start and other members of staff accepted that I didn't need such a course. So all of you on the Work Programme, be careful what you say and do although I would always advise people to try and get on with the staff as best you can but stand up for your rights if you feel strongly about something. It's never worth standing up for something that doesn't really matter to you.
