It's getting to be a routine
16 March 2013

I went to Working Links on tuesday for my fortnightly appointment and was given my next appointment date and time but as the printer was playing up I was told that confirmation would be sent in the post that day. I was also told that an application form for a job would be printed off and also sent to me. In the recent past a similar event took place at Working Links but confirmation never arrived and only after several attempts to phone my consultant did I manage to eventually get confirmation by post a week or so later. Well my recent appointment was tuesday and I am still waiting for my confirmation letter and application form. I phoned Working Links on friday afternoon and was told that the consultant was at a meeting so I will call again on monday. Maybe the job I was supposed to apply for is still available and the application form will arrive in time. On thursday I attended Charles St Jobcentre in Cardiff for my fortnightly signing and quite a few people were waiting to sign. I heard a member of staff say that two people were looking after five desks. Eventually my name was called and I sat in the chair and the lady said that she would only be signing me today and didn't even bother to look at my list of jobs applied for. I was given a form informing me that I must sign as usual in two weeks time although the benefit for that period would be paid into the bank on the tuesday before I sign so should be available on friday 29th March because of the Easter bank holiday. So it has been a quiet week and it was no surprise that my confirmation letter from Working Links didn't arrive as I remember when I was sitting in the chair and my consultant said he would print it off and send it later that day I almost smiled when he said it as I just knew he would forget.
