This morning just like many other people in Cardiff I received a letter from Cardiff Council warning me that I will have to pay part of my council tax from april 2013. It is just about how much but the letter did state around £8 a month or slightly less. The Welsh Assembly have to make a few decisions before the Council can make a final decision on the amount. The unemployed won't be receiving any rise in benefits of course besides the 1% because it is a government cut. I guess the conservatives will enjoy seeing Mrs Thatchers poll tax back. The rise of 1% on jobseekers allowance for single people won't cover the cost of paying the amount of council tax we will have to pay so we had better hope that the water rates and other bills don't increase but I guess they will so the pain the unemployed will have to suffer will be harsh.
