Universal Jobmatch was mentioned
10 December 2012
I attended Working Links today for my appointment and I was asked whether I had signed up for Universal Jobmatch and after I said no the consultant offered to help me register. I wouldn't need any help registering but as it is voluntary and no directive was given to me to sign up I will avoid it for now. The good news is that my next appointment at Working Links is just over three weeks time. I did mention my concerns over Monster running the government website and the risk of personal data getting into the hands of people pretending to be employers and gaining access to information provided in good faith by claimants. I got the impression that Working Links want to put me on one of those courses they have going but as I have completed those courses with different providers on many occasions they would be pointless for me but maybe they are trying to find a way of saying that they are helping me in my search for employment. My next appointment is supposedly to talk about any training or courses that might help me find work. At least that is three weeks from now and I will keep looking for jobs to apply for right up to christmas to make sure no doubts can be raised against me. Clearly it will be difficult to find job vacancies to apply for around christmas and the new year.
