I was informed yesterday that Caradog House Jobcentre in Cardiff is closing next week so I will have to sign fortnightly in future at the Charles St Jobcentre. Most of us who have experienced the two jobcentres would I guess rather sign at Caradog House. This week I only had to attend Working Links once as the bank holiday covered one of my regular days but next week I'm back to attending twice a week for the jobsearch I could do at home. Yesterday I spent nearly one and three quarter hours doing jobsearch before I was told that I could go. One funny thing happened on my way out of the Working Links offices. I put the time of my leaving in the book at the reception desk and then I looked at the clock on the wall and as I went to double check in the book a lady on reception said "you don't have to be exact to the minute". Personally, if I had the choice I would attend first thing in the morning than attend in the afternoon but one thing is certain and that is most people are accepting being on the work programme and that takes a lot of stress away from the individual. I think attending once a week is enough but I will settle for twice a week but still stand up for myself if anyone tries to wrong me.
