I turned up this morning for my 9am tuesday appointment at Working Links and eventually was told I could go around an hour and a half later. That wasn't too bad although I ended up looking at the same job websites repeatedly in my search for something to apply for. We all know that it doesn't take long to go through the job vacancies especially if you go online every day. I'm not due in again until thursday for another session but hopefully it will only be for an hour but you never know. I have noticed quite a few new members of staff at Working Links so maybe they are processing more of the unemployed than they have been for the last ten months or so. I did hear two members of staff talking about someone who had not turned up for an appointment. One asked the other if she should record it on the computer but the other said that they would have a word with the person first. Hopefully that means the individual involved might be able to avoid any hassle if they have a good excuse.
