I emailed the regional manager two weeks ago and he still has not bothered to reply to me. Certain details relating to my complaints have not been dealt with. I probably will have to contact them through the working links website and then they will contact me and I expect some excuse will be given for the regional manager not contacting me. I was at my 8.30am appointment today and did one and a half hours of jobsearch although no new jobs had appeared since I looked last night. I am due back in tomorrow at 8.30am for another round of jobsearch although I will be looking online at home tonight for any jobs to apply for. A woman on another computer was given some flannel about being better catered for if she went into the academy for a while but that is the fate of all of us if we don't find a job in 12 weeks. They are trying to justify sending us back to the academy to do interview skills and the like on the back of not being successful in gaining employment although in reality we have not done anything that would suggest we are any different from the time they declared us jobready. It's just a bit of nonsense so that they can pretend that they are doing something active with us although the threat of sanctions always hovers over our heads. Some of the staff come across as fair but I have noticed two members of the working links staff in the Cardiff office I wouldn't trust under any circumstances and I feel sorry for the poor unfortunates who are drawn them as advisors. I was given a form to fill in today basically giving all the information they already have on computer. I was told it was to help staff who have vacancies with companies being able to match people to certain jobs but they already have the information on their computers. Tomorrow I have been told is my last appointment before the new year. Interesting I heard today was a member of staff phoning their Newport office to contact someone who lives in Newport concerning an admin vacancy in their Cardiff office. It appears the guy they were trying to contact helped out in some way and they wanted to interview him today. They have quite a few people living in Cardiff wanting admin jobs and why they didn't interview their Cardiff clients I don't know. Maybe they want creeps who will do as they are told rather than do what is right. The guy they are after might very well be a nice decent person but if he is he will probably end up long term sick as in my experience people who care about people can't stand seeing them bullied and it hurts them inside.
