Working Links in Cardiff 03 November 2011 I have had at least ten appointments at Working Links in Cardiff since I was put on the Work Programme. I had made a complaint against a member of staff who was my so called consultant. At the latest appointment I had with her she said she was going on holiday and I would be contacted concerning my next appointment. Two weeks went by without being contacted so I phoned Working Links and they arranged an appointment for me a week later so in effect three weeks since my last appointment. I attended that appointment and was told that I would be contacted concerning my next appointment. Today, a day short of two weeks since that appointment I receive a letter from Working Links stating that I missed an appointment last monday. I immediately phoned Working Links and was told that an administrator had phoned me but got no reply. I know for a fact that no one phoned me from Working Links and no messages were left on the 1571 service. By coincidence the woman I have a complaint against was back from holiday and would have been working last week when the so called phone call was made. I feel like going into Working Links and asking every member of staff if they phoned me last week. If one of them says yes then I would call them a bare faced liar to their face. It's one thing not liking someone but to abuse a position where you can have people sanctioned and lose benefits and put people in hardship just because of disliking them that is just not acceptable. The performance manager at Working Links in Cardiff has offered me an appointment with him and the regional manager to discuss my complaints but has yet to give me a time and date. When members of staff are allowed to abuse their positions and potentially put people into hardship then they should not be working for any company that has to deal with vulnerable people. These companies that have contracts for the Work Programme have targets but destroying peoples lives should not be one of them.
