Our 5 x Singles were at home in the second round of the Millennium Singles competition this afternoon when the visitors were from Quarter BC. Once again there was a closely contested match with Caldercraig managing a 3-2 victory. The third round is scheduled to be played next Sunday when our opponents will be Dalzell Bowling Club at Motherwell..

The next few days is yet another busy time for local bowlers with the Seniors playing their sixth league match of the season on Monday afternoon and the District Semi-Finals of the BS Championships being held in the evening. We will be represented on Monday evening by our 2015 champion Jim Purves in the singles. On Tuesday the local leagues have a night off to allow club representatives to play in the Lanarkshire District Finals. Caldercraig will be represented in the triples by Ian Chisholm, David McIntyre and John McHutchison. On Thursday evening the BS Gents District Final will be played at Bellshill & Mossend club.
