We hope everyone had an enjoyable festive period.

The first Social of 2012 was another good evening enjoyed by all. This was the first visit from Andrew Muir, an excellent singer who I'm sure will be welcomed back.

When setting up your social diary for the festive season don't forget to set aside Fri. 6th. Jan. for Andrew Muir in Cabaret. This is his first visit to the club and we have had positive vibes regarding his performance.

Don't be disappointed, book early.   

While John Telford is in Australia he has left the running of the Socials in the capable hands of John Campbell 01236 754181 and Len Tuffley 01236 765404. Please do not hesitate to call them for ticket sales or any other query.

2011 social evenings in the Clubhouse finished on Saturday with a very successful Xmas Party enjoyed by lady members and their friends. Approx.45-50 partygoers enjoyed a delicious meal supplied by John MacFarlane our "resident" caterer followed by an evening of dancing and partying.Functions will restart on the 6th. Jan. 2012 featuring Andrew Muir in Cabaret(details on Diary page). Our social convener John Telford and his wife Anne will be enjoying a holiday in Australia then for which we wish them well, in their absence Len Tuffley & John Campbell will deal with any queries regarding functions.

Another very good performance from Diane,thoroughly enjoyed by all those present.

The winners were Mr. McAllister, Campbell & Mr.&Mrs. Bob Wallace ably assisted by often used sustitutes Carrol & MacCartney well done to them on winning and for sharing their illgotten gains with their closest opponents. The evening was hosted as usual by the Bamber Gasgoine of Caldercraig John Telford whose forte is asking rather than answering questions he was ably assisted in scoring by his wife Ann and there is no truth in the rumour, although she was sitting close to the winners, that she was taking bribes.

Circumstances had an adverse effect on attendance. We're sure this is just a blip.
