GENTS SECTION - President - Robert (Bert) Wallace
The Gents Championship and the Gent's Jubilee competitions were both won by John McHutchison with victories over Ross Busby and John Campbell respectively. Alan McGuiness and Jim Purves continued with their successes in the Nominated Pairs competition, this year their opponents in the final were Ian Chisholm and David McIntyre. The Champion of Champions Trophy was won for the thirteenth time and for the last five consecutively by Jim Purves in the final against last years Gents Champion Alan McGuiness.The Four Bowl Pairs was won by Ian Baxter & Ross Busby with victory over Kevin McLoughlin & Derek Phillips but Derek, partnered by Ian Chisholm had success in the Two Bowl Pairs with a win over Ian Baxter and Graham Gillespie.
LADIES SECTION - President - May Wallace
Janie Kyle had success in both the Championship and the Jubilee competitions when her opponent in both finals was Shona Chisholm. In the Four Bowl Pairs final Morag Donald and Elaine Moxen had a fine victory over Helen Orr and Jean Little.
SENIORS SECTION - Convenor - Andrew Kyle
David McIntyre retained his Champion's title with a close victory over Jim Preston whilst in the Pairs Championshp Willie Shields and Ian Chisholm had to go to an extra end against George McLachlan and Jim Purves to win this years final. David McIntyre completed the double by winning the McMeekin Trophy handicap competition with a fine win over Jock Black. Fraser Gillespie was the winner of this year's competition for the "Bob Telford" Rink Day competition.
The winners of the Chairman's Trophy played annually on opening day were Elaine Moxen, Martin Carroll and Ian Chisholm. The Mathieson/Patterson Trophy was won this year by Robert Kitchen, Elaine Moxen, Janie Kyle and Ian Baxter and Ian Baxter and Elaine were also successful in winning the Annual Bowlathon when accompanied by Geoff Miller, Jim McAllister and John Wilson. The Fair Shield winner this year was Ross Busby when he beat Gavin Chisholm in the final. John Campbell beat Fraser Gillespie in the final of the Kyle Trophy competition. Robert Murray left it late but succeeded in his season long quest to lift the "Rosebowl", presented to the winner of the rink games points competition. The Young Yins, ably assisted by the ladies section and a couple of our "junior" seniors won this year's competition.
Jim Purves won the Bowls Scotland Gents over 55's District Championship and qualified for the National Finals at Northfield. (Lost in the 2nd Round). Janie Kyle brought great honour to herself and to the club when she won the title of Ladies Champion of the LWBA . The Gents Section won the 1st Division of the Airdrie & Coatbridge league by going through the entire competition undefeated and they also won the Laney Triples (for a third successive year) with a resounding victory over Coatbridge Victoria. The Senior Section won both Section 1 and Section 4 of the Monklands Seniors' Leagues and after successes over the other two league winners in the semi-finals they met in the final where success went to Section 4.

Our new champion is Logie Armstrong who beat Derek Phillips in the final. Graham Gillespie and John McHutchison won the nominated pairs with a victory over Ian Chisholm and David McIntyre. John McHutchison beat Alan McGuinnes to lift the Jubilee trophy and new Champion Logie Armstrong defeated his pairs partner, Ross Busby and claimed the Champion of Champions crown. John Campbell won the Kyle trophy when he beat Fraser Gillespie and with his partner Graham Gillespie, John won the Club 2-bowl pairs with victory over Robert Stanfield and Fraser Gillespie. The Club 4-bowl ballotted pairs went to John Taylor & Derek Phillips with a victory over Alex Wilson & Graham Gillespie.
LADIES SECTION - President -Helen ORR
President Helen Orr won the ladies championship for the first time after beating three times champion Shona Chisholm in the final and in the Jubilee it was the turn of Janie Kyle, who beat Elaine Moxen in the final.
SENIORS SECTION - Convenor - Andrew KYLE
Jim Purves is the new senior champion after a fine win over Ian Chisholm in the final but Ian did have a consolation by beating David McIntyre in the McMeekin trophy final. Alex Wilson partnered Jim Purves to victory in the senior pairs competition with a fine win over Willie Shields and Robert Stanfield in the final. The Dan Turner trophy was won by John Taylor with a fine win over John Campbell and the Bob Telford rink day points winner for this year after a keenly contested season long competition was Jock Black.
The Chairman's Trophy competition was played on Opening Day and this year the winners were Jim (Mac) McAllister, John Oliver and Ross Busby. The Mathieson/Patterson Charity game was played in pefect conditions and this year the winners were Willie Shields, John Oliver (substitute J McAllister) and skip Gordon Arbuckle. The Bowlathon took place with 27 members taking part. The winners this year were Ailie Allan, Robert Murray, Willie Shields and Dave McIntyre (skip). The Fair Shield was played over two weeks and the winner this year was Logie Armstrong. Ian and Shona Chisholm were the winners of the G Low Nominated Mixed Pairs competition, beating Bill Andrew and Violet Shaw in the final. The Auld Yins were victorious over The Rest in the annual Robert Nimmo Trophy match and the President's team beat the Vice-President's select in the annual competition played on Closing Day.
Chivas Whisky were the sponsors of a new Mixed Triples competition and 12 teams contested the trophy. The winners were Robert Murray, Elaine Moxen and Jim Purves. The Inver House Invitation Mixed Pairs was played with a full complement of 24 pairings and the winners this year were Audrey McIntyre (guest) and her partner Jim Purves.
Having won the Airdrie League KO Trophy the club was successful for the first time since 2015 in winning the Airdrie and Coatbridge League Challenge Cup by beating Dunbeth in the final. Our No 1 team won promotion to Division 3 of the Lanarkshire League by lifting the title in Division 4.
