Late pm / eve
Nipped down on the motorcycle to see the boys at Laggan. Arrived as they just popped out of the lock and were making for the pontoon. Bob Macrae was on hand to assist them with the lines and then we repaired to "Eagle" barge for a small libation. I only stayed for one pint (driving and the weather didn't look great for motorcycles) but elicted some interesting info:-
= the boat is very damp due to the fact they had hatches shut for much of the way due to poor weather - electronics are suffering, as are fabrics
= Gwyn would do it again but give him a week to have a think
= Neil will never believe a weather forecast from Gavin and especially George ever again
= Neil will not suffer from prostate cancer for the foreseeable future
= Bill bought a belt in Miami which was too short but now fits (oh yeah?)
= the boats wiring is in need of some r.o.a.r. (rip out and re-do)
= All 3 have had a seriously good experience and are looking good and happy.
