Another success for Coastal Path Walk
26 May 2013

SUNDAY 26th MAY  - saw the return for the fourth year of Anstruther Rotary’s popular East Neuk Sponsored Walk - again offering walkers a way to raise money for their charities - and at the same time enjoy a terrific day out.

We don't yet know how this year will finally do in money terms, although a magnificent £15,400 had already been raised by mid August. Walkers have now raised a fabulous total of £47,982 since the event started and this year has even topped the £14,461 donated to 22 separate registered charities in 2012. As organiser Colin Campbell says ‘Charities constantly tell us that every single donation is greatly needed and hugely appreciated - and every single donation represents a real personal achievement’.

In the picture above we see eight happy and enthusiastic members of 1st Crail Brownies who completed 6 miles of the walk in support of CLIC Sargent. The girls and supporters walked from Anstruther to Crail in memory of 7 year old Ethan Allen, who lost his brave battle to cancer a year ago. Pictured after the walk are Libby Fisher, Keighan McMahon, Amelie Claydon, Sophia Issberner, Megan Guthrie, Jasmine Latto, Lorna Mossman, Sophie Stockwell and friends
