Clarence, now age 16, and his brother John (Jack) left England to join their father Harold and their stepmother Annie (nee Collins), and sister-in-law, Joan.

Before reuniting, they had to work off their passage, each on different farms in Ontario and Quebec (The Empire Settlement Act 1922)

Married to Willemina (Mina) Van Rooyen.

Mina died in 2004 in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada

Clarence died in 2007 at Petrolia, Ontario, Canada
