A case of Deja-Vu is looming as the Mets seem to have neglected their ambitions at the last turn of the race! 17 September 2008 Washington Nationals 1 New York Mets 0I could be highlighting deeper issues here but in my opinion unwise decisions has been taken at the top of the scale and instead of saying that what the Mets are experiencing right now is a matter of normality and one should expect it as part of life one ought to be pointing one's fingers at the source of the problem which is not too far from the dugout as I believe that if Santana and Perez had been allowed to go all the way during their respective games the Mets would have won those two games. It is not a case of saying that it is always the fault of someone else but those decisions were ill-judged in my opinion. Indeed, sometimes setbacks are no more than that but this sudden loss of form could hardly be termed as coincidental only because it happened once before at the same stage last season. A change of fortunes, perhaps, but still, Mike Pelfrey had a good game las night on the mount for the Mets but Odalis Perez had a better one and the Nationals defeated the Mets once more at their patch as they scored the only run of the game. Final score: Nationals 1 Mets 0P.
