The ballot box has been opened and the votes counted.

The most popular nominations for the venue were Sanday, Westray and South Ronaldsay closely followed by Thurso, Stromness, Kirkwall and Shetland. Other venues worthy of a mention were Inverness, Golspie, Granton on Spey, Brora and Reay and the slightly more outrageous suggestions were Dornoch, Newmacher, St.Andrews, Monte Carlo, Las Vegas and Dubai.

There was a very varied selection of nominees for a virgins invite with Lesley Mulraine, Keith Corsie, Ali Findlater, Paul Lawrie and Hatamoa among the many contenders.

The Management will ponder over the suggestions and make a decision in due course.
