With just a couple of days to confirm your entry into the 6th Annual 'Auld' Boys Championship, the question is, who's favourite to wear the coveted Purple Helmet home this year?

Last year's champion Mansey is highly unlikely to retain the trophy having joined the ranks of the 'serious' medal playing golfers. Having reduced his handicap from 45 to 23 in the last 12 months don't bet on him to to win again this year.

The Purple Helmet winner from 2008 Ian Croy makes his return to the ABC after missing the defence of the Helmet last year. After winning with a 56 Nett playing off a 51 handicap his chances of retaining the title will be slim since his handicap has been altered by the ABC handicap committee!!

Tiger Merv Ward is also unlikely to take the Helmet home after joining Mansey in becoming a serious competition player and has reduced his handicap from 46 down to 26.
