I was caught out this past week when my plug plants arrived, as planned, in week 13 — in the midst of our prolonged cold spell of snow flurries and biting east winds. Thankfully, Mackie cleaned the greenhouse in a day and I potted on the plants over the weekend. I look forward to the summer days when we can enjoy the bright blossoms in the sunshine.
