A brief spell of sunshine

We seem to be setting one extreme weather record after another this year. Now it's the "wettest three-months of April, May and June since records began" (admittedly, just 100 years ago).

Finally, we've had two sunny days with temperatures of 20º/21º. The bees have been buzzing in the numerous clumps of Geranium Johnson's Blue. Ken has managed to mow the lawn. I"m hopeful that I'll soon have enough blossoms in my cutting garden to supply both home and church. We've picked the first lettuce from our new raised veggie beds by the kitchen. Things are looking up — at least, until the rain arrives again at the weekend. There are currently 54 flood alerts in England and Wales with many weather warnings. It's all heading our way!
