The near-frosty nights have gone, the temperature has warmed (a bit) and we're trying to catch up with all the spring jobs we have to do in the garden.

Ken and Mackie have been cleaning the pond this past week. They decided the easy way to tackle the job was to empty both ponds and clear out the blanket weed and other unwanted vegetation with the pond-vac. I don't know that the five frogs and numerous newts they disturbed would have agreed!
