Nobody could say that weather in Cromarty is boring! After all, who would want sunshine every day?

The last week of March brought record temperatures for the month with highs of near 20º. The daffodils and cherry trees came into full bloom (top photo). We got busy clearing and weeding.

Then, just a few days later temperatures dipped below freezing with showers of snow and hailstones. Ken and Mackie hastily covered the smaller apple trees with fleece to protect the buds from frost (and from the bullfinches!).
