Long may this Spring sunshine continue! Whoever would have thought that we would be enjoying temperatures of 18-21º in April?

As a sign of Ken's improving back, he put on his waders and set to work clearing the lower pond of blanketweed this afternoon. With such a mild winter, the bothersome weed has never stopped growing and now needs to be cleared on a weekly basis. Bags of barley and various chemical 'additions' have failed to remedy the situation. At least the physical removal of the weed is an organic solution!
