Spring seems to come to our garden later than most others in Cromarty. (It must be the north-facing prospect and the high wall). So, we are all the more pleased when we see snowdrops and the first crocuses come into bloom. As a bonus, there were several clumps of frogspawn in the pond, although there wasn't a frog in sight.
