After a cold and frozen December and early January, the ice and snow are gone, and the garden is looking sadly neglected. It's time to plan ahead for the sunny days of summer. We have much garden pruning, weeding and planting ahead of us as we anticipate several visits from garden clubs in 2011 — and, the prospect of another Apple Day on 1st October.
