Yesterday, the Old Orchard was one of four Cromarty venues open to the public as part of Transition Black Isle's 'Greening Homes and Gardens' event. In spite of the on-and-off rain, 41 visitors came into the garden to have a tour around the orchard and ask for Ken's advice on growing apple trees. During the worst of the downpours, our guests sat around the wood stove in the garden house and enjoyed samples of our 'vintage' apple juice.
