Bill did some serious pruning to the old willow tree by the kitchen door. It was one of only two trees left in the garden after the house restoration in the early 1990s. With a height nearly as high as the top of the roof and branches touching the house wall, action was necessary. Although Rowan has lost the overhanging branch that was her favourite shelter from the rain, the tree will live (hopefully) for another 150 years.
