The sun is shining (!), birds are twittering and inspecting prospective nesting sites. Although we often find evidence of bird nests long after they have been abandoned, we seldom seem able to attract them to our nesting boxes.

This spring we've cleaned the boxes, positioned them with the correct outlook (north to east), and, most importantly, sited them where we have found nests in the past. So far, we haven't seen any new tenants, but we remain hopeful.
