Just when I thought there wasn't room for another tree, a new addition to our apple 'family' was delivered this morning: an Allington Pippin. It is described as "a variety once widely grown for its superb flavour but seldom seen now and deserving re-appreciation." It wasn't long before Ken was digging a hole for this tree and planning his next purchase for the orchard!
