After a week and a bit, the birds have discovered the feeders, now moved to a site within view of the kitchen window. We've enjoyed watching the antics of the tits (blue tit, great tit and coal tit), finches (greenfinch and chaffinch) and robins. We feared the change of location would deter the shy birds, but the conifers in the heather bank seem to provide enough protection. As the temperatures drop below freezing at night, we expect more visitors to our new feeding station. (30/11/06 - have seen goldfinch and woodpecker this week.)
