The drains at the lower end of the Causeway failed to cope with the volume of rain that fell overnight. When we awoke this morning, the water was within 4cm of over-flowing the kerb and pouring into our front courtyard. Ken and Colin, in wellies and armed with rakes and spades, did their best to clear the drains before the next downpour. (garden wall in background)
