This is a closeup of the installation we see from our window, over the garden and across the Firth at Nigg. Unfortunately, the trailblazing project to install two giant wind turbines in the Beatrice Field has hit a setback. Unpredictable Highland weather delayed the sail-out of this second turbine. The Rambiz heavy lift barge - on stand-by to transport the turbine - was required for another contract. It may be next year before the second turbine leaves Nigg.
