With slightly improved weather, Ken is cutting back ivy along the high wall bordering the Causeway and Miller Road. Because the rampantly-growing ivy is working its way between the bricks (inner wall) and stone (outer wall) and starting the lift the cope stones, it isn't a task that can be left any longer. Never underestimate the strength of ivy!

Hopefully, Ken will finish before the garden birds begin their search for nesting sites. So far, he has found only one old nest. That's a bit of a surprise, considering how frequently the birds flit in and out of the thick ivy during the summer.
