When we found Bramley head to head with a large frog by the kitchen back door, we realised it was time to clean the pond before the visiting frogs became amorous! Alas, Ken was too late; he found four clumps of frog spawn in the lower pond. This year we will try to outsmart the newts and keep some tadpoles safe in a bucket so they have a chance to grow into froglets.
