The real thing
After several frosty spells in December and January, we had a dusting of snow last night. It wasn't anything as heavy as "the worst snowfall in 18 years" that immobilised the south-east of England earlier this week. It was enough, though, to close schools on the Black Isle this morning — much to the delight of children and one small dog who ran in circles 'round the garden and buried his nose in the snow (see Bramley photo).
